Important Information
What you need to know
Lyngby-Taarbæk Riding Club is a sports association run by voluntary, unpaid work (voluntary public education association work) under the Act on Non-Formal General Education. The club is a member of the Joint Representation for Sports Associations in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality (FIL) as well as the Danish Riding Association / Danish Sports Federation.
The monthly fee covers 4 weekly lessons per month. Lessons that fall on public holidays or during vacations are balanced with extra lessons scheduled in months with five weeks. Cancelled lessons are not replaced with other lessons. Unexplained absences and cancellations on the same day as the scheduled lesson are non-refundable. Cancellations must be sent via SMS no later than 12:00 noon to Kate. Registration for lessons is binding.
Payment for riding lessons and horse shares must be made in advance, on the first day of each month. Additionally, a deposit equivalent to three months’ tuition is required. The deposit will be refunded when the rider resigns, provided all fees have been paid. Prices are communicated via Payment Service and postings. For late payments via Payment Service, an administration fee of DKK 100 per month will be charged. If lessons are cancelled in writing (by email – not SMS) with at least 3 months’ notice by the first of a month, or for group lessons with at least 1 month’s notice, fees will no longer be charged. Always remember to obtain a receipt for cancellations.
In addition to the regular membership fee, a registration fee of DKK 25 is charged. If registration takes place in the first half of the year (January–July), a full year’s membership fee is charged. If registration takes place in the second half of the year (August–December), only half a year’s membership fee is charged.
Withdrawal from the riding club must be made in writing to Kate with one month’s notice. The resignation becomes effective on December 31. Birthdays must be reported to the Riding Club to enable municipal subsidies for Junior/Youth riders. If this information is missing, the full membership fee will be charged. The membership fee is collected by the municipality. If resignation occurs before the deposit is refunded (see “Riding School”), the membership fee for the first quarter of the calendar year is charged, or a half-year membership fee is charged.
